Secondary Juvenile Aviator Program aims to provide secondary school students with foundational knowledge of aviation science and practical experience in aviation-related skills. It is structured to run for 10 weeks, covering critical aspects of flight mechanics, navigation, meteorology, aircraft systems, and flight safety. Each week builds on the last, creating a cohesive learning experience.

The curriculum is carefully crafted to cover core aviation principles; ranging from introductory concepts to more advanced technical subjects, making it possible for students of all knowledge levels to participate meaningfully.

  1. Module 1: Introduction to Aviation Science and History – Introduction to aviation history, Overview of aviation careers: pilots, Basics of flight mechanics.
  2. Module 2: Principles of Flight and Aerodynamics – Lift and drag, Anatomy of an aircraft, Aerodynamics.
  3. Module 3: Aircraft Navigation and Control – Basic navigation, Flight controls, Map Reading and Plotting.
  4. Module 4: Aircraft Systems and Instruments – Overview of aircraft powerplants (engines), fuel systems, and electrical systems, Basic flight instruments.
  5. Module 5: Meteorology and Weather Impacts on Flight – Basics of weather and climate, Weather patterns, Aviation weather forecasting tools and how pilots use weather information for safe flying.
  6. Module 6: Flight Safety and Emergency Procedures – Importance of pre-flight checks, safety protocols, and aircraft maintenance, Emergency response, Emergency equipment and its usage.
  7. Module 7: Advanced Flight Maneuvers – Introduction to advanced flight techniques, Understanding energy management during maneuvers, The concept of G-forces.
  8. Module 8: Career Exploration – Detailed insights into aviation careers, Exploring aeronautics, aerospace engineering, and flight-related roles.

 

 

Training Format:

  1. Self-Study Training – This is a flexible, independent learning pathway tailored for secondary school students who want to explore aviation at their own pace. This format allows students to gain foundational aviation knowledge while managing their study schedules to fit personal routines and commitments.
  2. Virtual Training – The Juvenile Aviator Program’s virtual training format allow trainees to explore aviation concepts and skills through an online platform, providing flexibility and accessibility to those who may not be able to attend in person. Virtual training includes a combination of live online sessions, interactive learning materials, and independent projects that together create an engaging and educational experience.
  3. Onsite Training – The onsite training offer students a dynamic, hands-on learning environment that brings aviation concepts to life. Designed to immerse students in an interactive classroom sessions, flight simulation and practices.

Onsite training is either in our training center or arranged with the school management for pupils with interest in aviation training.

Assessment:

The Eagles Assurgent Connexion Secondary School Aviation Training Program includes an online examination at the end of each module to evaluate students' progress.

Certification: Upon successful completion of the entire module, students are awarded a Certificate of Completion. This certificate is a valuable credential, showcasing their foundational knowledge in aviation, and it can serve as an early stepping stone for students interested in pursuing further aviation studies or training with our international partners.
